Tanner L. Kraft
Easley, SC
Tanner Lee Kraft, 38, passed away at his home, Thursday, September 3, 2026, due to complications of a pulmonary embolism. An unexpected and sudden death, Tanner leaves behind many friends and family members too soon.
Tanner was born in Snellville, Georgia on April 5, 1988, to Robert Lee Kraft and Debra Diane Ruh Kraft. Tanner was an adventurous young man who enjoyed time spent outdoors since his was young, and in his adult years, grew to love kayaking.
He was a graduate of Jensen Beach High School and the Community College of the Air Force where he earned a degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. Tanner proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he received many accolades. In 2017, he was awarded, a “Commander’s Award, 362 Training Squadron,” in 2018 he was awarded, “Airman of the Year, 482 AMXS,” and in 2021, he was awarded, “The Air Force Achievement Medal.”
He was a former employee of Lockheed Martin in Greenville, South Carolina and recently left to attend Clemson University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Always finding a way to bring lively moments to life, Tanner embraced the Georgia Bulldogs with gusto and loved to have friends over to tailgate. He enjoyed cooking, playing his guitar, spending time with his daughters, family, friends, and his girlfriend, Rachellyn. He liked to travel and, especially, enjoyed hiking in the mountains and swimming in a mountain river.
Tanner is survived by his parents, Robert Lee Kraft (Beth) and Debra Diane Ruh Kraft, Melanie Kraft (former spouse), daughters, Ella Louise Kraft and Abigail Christine Gates, both of Easley, and brothers, Joshua “Josh” Charles Kraft (Lacy) of Gainesville, Georgia, and Joey Santerre (Emily) of Pendergrass, Georgia, and Rachellyn Marsh (girlfriend) of Gray Court, South Carolina.
He is also survived by his loving nephews, Russell Kraft, Nolan Kraft, and Jaxon Santerre.
The family will meet with friends and family on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Drive, Anderson, SC 29621.
