Alex Taylor Dickson, 14, of 153 Pine Lake Drive, died Saturday, April 26, 2008.
Born in Greenville County, a son of Patricia Moore Dickson of Taylors, and the late Samuel Andrew "Andy" Dickson, Jr., Taylor was an eighth grade student at Wren Middle School where he was a member of the baseball team.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Kevin Andrew Dickson of Easley, and Nathaniel Casey Dickson; a half-brother, Brandon Joseph Taylor of Taylors; a step-sister, Nadine Hurtado of Easley; his grandparents, Frank and Brenda Smith of Easley and Vivian Holden Dickson of Liberty; his great-grandmother, Pearl Moore of Anderson; an uncle, Ric Moore of Easley; and aunts, Sheila Smith of Charleston and Pam Haenelt of Texas. In addition to his father, Taylor was predeceased by his step-mother, Mattiza Hurtado Dickson and by a step-sister, Melissa Jiliam Salazar.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Andy and Taylor Dickson Memorial Fund at any SunTrust Bank.
The family is at the home of Frank and Brenda Smith, 103 James Street, Easley, SC 29642.
