Tecora Ruby Nell Rice Dendy, 61, of Central, fell asleep peacefully, Friday, January 9, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
Born in Oconee County she was the daughter of Mary Rice Harrison of Clemson. Tecora was a former custodian with the Clemson Downs and was a graduate of D.W. Daniel High School. She attended the English Norris Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Norris and loved her volunteer door to door ministry work. A sweet loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be truly missed.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughters, Melissa Hunter (Maurice) of Anderson and Roxie Dendy of Central; sisters, Carolyn Rice and Jacqueline Grant of Central; brothers Derrick Harrison (Greta) of Seneca and Dwayne Harrison (Lisa) of Auburn, AL; grandchildren, Cierra, Vivica and Jade; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Hampton and Barbara Dendy of Seneca, and Anna Dendy of Winston-Salem, NC; and brother-in-law Randy Dendy (Vastyne).
She was preceeded in death by her husband, George Edward Dendy.
Memorial services will be 4 PM, Saturday in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Norris, SC.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the Kingdom Hall.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Jehovah's Witnesses, 105 S. Norris Drive, Norris, SC 29667.
