Ted Michael McNeely, age 66, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Mr. McNeely was a dedicated employee with Michelin for 39 years. He rotated shifts for many years for the benefit of his family and his employer. He retired in 2016 due to illness.
He was born on December 8, 1951 in Greenville, SC, as the youngest of six children to Clyde and Irene McNeely. He graduated from Wren High School in 1970 where he developed many life-long friendships that endured life's joys and tragedies.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ann Black McNeely, his daughters, April McNeely Galloway (Bret) of Daniel Island, Summer McNeely McDowell (Chad) of Powdersville, a son, Adam Michael McNeely of Powdersville, and a grandson Chase Harrison McDowell. He is also survived by brothers Cecil McNeely and Louie McNeely.
Mr. McNeely was predeceased by his sister Ruth Galloway, brother Harold McNeely and brother Troy McNeely.
Mr. McNeely was a gentle, soft-spoken man who served his family and God to the best of his ability. He enjoyed American history, classic TV shows such as Andy Griffith and always a quiet, long drive through the country side. He was a faithful servant to his family. He will long be remembered for his sacrifice and love.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:30pm - 2:45pm at the funeral home.
