Ted Newsome

Ted M. Newsome, 67, husband to Nancy Owings Newsome, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

Born in Greenville County, a son to the late Jr. and Jeanette Newsome, he was a US Marine and retired from Michelin after thirty-two years of service. Mr. Newsome was a former member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church, a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, and a faithful member of the Couples of Faith Bible Fellowship Class at Rock Springs. Mr. Newsome coached Little League football for Easley Recreation for many years. He was an avid Gamecocks fan who loved golf and always enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his little dog, Pebbles.

Surviving, in addition to his wife is a son, Andy Newsome (Michelle) of Ocala , FL; a daughter, Robin Miller (Brad) of Pelzer; sisters, Cynthia West (John) and Mary McCollough (Garry), all of Easley; a sister-in-law, Pam Newsome of Williamston; grandchildren, Blake and Brianna Miller, James, Samantha, and Sarah Newsome; two foster grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Newsome was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Bob Newsome.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the funeral home.

The family would like to also show their appreciation to all of the doctors and nurses that cared for room 2319 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Kindred Hospice, and Kindred Homecare of Greenville.
