Teresa (Tret) Tipton Bates, 56, of Easley, wife of Richard Bates, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her home.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of Buddy O Tipton and Betty Jewel Jones. Mrs. Bates was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents, are a son, Richard Bates III; a daughter, Natasha Hamby (Jon); two brothers, Donnie and Darrell Tipton; one sister, Felecia Duncan; and four grandchildren, Madisen and Connor Hamby; Abigail and Olivia Bates. Mrs. Bates was predeceased by a sister, Shannon Jones.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 3:15p.m Friday prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home of Jon and Natasha Hamby, Easley, SC.
