Teresa Carlene Thompson, 72, died peacefully with her children at her side on Friday, March 4, 2022. She was born in Greenville on April 23, 1949, to Carlos and Helen (Kellett) Thompson.
Teresa devoted her life to giving to others: as a special education teacher for more than 30 years; as a loving mother to daughter Anna McMichael-Kane (Michael Kane) and son Adam McMichael (Betsy); as a colorful Nana to grandchildren Finn, Ronan, William, and Chase; as dear sister to Martha; as the Clemson Tigers' biggest fan; and as a generous friend to so many. Her warm spirit and big heart are remembered by all she touched.
The family is planning a celebration of her life next month. Memorial donations may be made in Teresa's name to the Clemson Botanical Garden through the Clemson University Foundation.
