Terry Kay entered his heavenly home at the age of 70 years old. He was the retired owner and operator of Create-A-Scape Landscaping. Terry's love for horticulture extended beyond his profession; he dedicated his time to teaching others about the industry and helping them start their own businesses.
Terry was born in Greenville, SC on August 19, 1952, He always went above and beyond to help anyone in need, even if they were complete strangers. His selfless nature touched the hearts of many.
Not only will Terry be remembered for his generosity, but also for his vibrant storytelling. He had an uncanny ability to captivate people with his stories and was often the life of the party. But showing people a better way of life through his Christian beliefs was more important to Terry than his popularity or profession.
Terry was devoted to providing for his family. His wife, Louise, stood by his side through thick and thin. Together they built a life rooted in love and shared experiences. He leaves behind a legacy that extends to his children: his son, Joshua Boone Kay and wife Ashley, as well as his daughter, Danielle Blumer and her husband, Giles. Terry enjoyed being a grandfather to Lily and Elijah Kay, Audrey, Scarlett and Eliza Blumer. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Harold B. and Sarah Ellen Kay; also his brothers, Harold B. Kay, Jr. and Johnny Kay.
Outside of his professional life and familial commitments, Terry enjoyed several hobbies and interests. Loyalty to Clemson Football began back in 1917 when his grandfather caught the winning pass at the Clemson-Carolina game. Additionally, Terry had a passion for fishing and enjoyed bird hunting with his beloved Boykin Spaniels.
