Terry M. Merritt

Terry M. Merritt, 80, of Greer passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Willie "Bill" and Janie Wilma Garrison Merritt.

Terry was a truck driver and dock worker. He drove for Spector Freight, Carolina Freight and ABF; retiring after 30 years of service.

Terry loved to garden. He loved to write and read the Bible.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Brenda Seigle Merritt; his daughters, Kelli (David) Cooper, Melissa (Jeremy) Barnette, Denise Merritt, Donna Rankin, and Debbie Stillwell; a step son, Greg Shepherd; brothers, Wayne Merritt and Charles Merritt; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Merritt; a brother, Carroll Merritt; and a sister, Judy Evitt.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:00pm - 1:45pm at the funeral home.
