Thelma Garrick

Thelma Garrick, 83, of Easley, wife of the late Christopher Garrick passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Pickens Co, she was a daughter of the late, Charlie Wyatt and Zora (Tom) Suddeth Atkins, Mrs. Garrick was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. During her fifty-one years of marriage she had five children. She loved quilting and other handiwork, and until recent years, she enjoyed working in her flower garden.
Surviving are two sons, Bobby Garrick of Simpsonville and David Garrick of Marietta; a daughter Elaine Garrick Simmons of Pickens; six grandchildren, Wyatt Simmons, and Jody Simmons Golden of Pickens, Wendy Simmons Boiser of Woodruff, Brad Garrick, Chris Garrick, and Blake Parsons of Simpsonville; her sister, Sudie Atkins Aiken of Easley and brother, Bud Atkins of Pickens; two nieces, Judy Aiken Young and Joy Wilson of Easley; five great-grandchildren, Braeden, Dillan, and Abby Bosier of Woodruff and Zach and Madelyn Golden of Pickens. She was fond of her son-in-law, Ronnie Simmons and daughters-in-law, Rene Payne Garrick of Simpsonville and Sharon Roe Garrick of Marietta.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Garrick was predeceased by twin sons; Bradley Stephen Garrick and Billy Wyatt Garrick; sister, Edna Atkins; nephew, Johnny Aiken. She is looking forward to her reunion with them and her other loved ones.
Graveside services will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:30 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown prior to the service.
