Thelma Ruth Morrison

Thelma Ruth Morrison, 96, Central, passed away on June 14, 2026. Thelma was born in Oconee County to the late Jim and Mertie Bell.

Thelma was a devoted member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending services and being part of the community. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she spent much time reading her Bible. Thelma was also a very skilled seamstress; sewing was one of her favorite pass times. Above all, Thelma was most proud of her family.

Thelma Ruth Morrison will be deeply missed by those who knew her and loved her.

Thelma is survived by her son, Harold Morrison; grandchildren, Melissa Stafford (David), Eric Morrison, and Michael Hall (Nancy); brothers, Charles Bell, and Luke Bell; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her Husband, Garland Morrison; daughter, Linda Faye Hall; and granddaughter, Deanne Morrison.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18th, from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow visitation in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home starting at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
