Thelma P. Richey, 109, formerly of Greenville, wife of the late James B. Richey, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at National Health Care in Mauldin.

Born July 29, 1905 in Central, she was a daughter of the late Walter Earl and Julia Merck Pinson. Mrs. Richey was a homemaker and a member of Grove Station Baptist Church. She showed her love for the Lord by her precious loving spirit and she was blessed with many wonderful friends.

Mrs. Richey is survived by her daughter, Becky Gibson, sons, Jimmy Richey (Pat), Johnny Richey (Terry), and Bob Richey (Diane); eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Bill Richey and eight siblings.

Services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday, February 1, 2015 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service.
