Theodora J. Dobson

Theodora (Teddi) McCoy Dobson of Rockford, IL, went to be with the lord on October 1, 2015 with her family by her side after fighting a four year battle with cancer.
She was born August 28, 1938 in Iowa to the late, James "Tim" and Donna McCoy. Teddi had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone she met. She will be missed dearly.
Teddi is survived by many loved ones including her husband of 59 beautiful years, Keith Dobson (living together in Liberty, SC for 40 years before relocating to The Villages, FL); her sons; Steve (Catersville, GA); Rick and his wife Shelia (Norris, SC); Brian and his wife Pam (Easley, SC); and Brad and his wife Pam (Greer, SC). Teddi is also survived by her six grandchildren; Bradi Dobson, Wes Dobson, Emily Dobson, Tinsley Dobson, Sarah Dobson and Brytnee Leigh.
Teddi was proceeded by her daughter Pamela Sue Dobson in 1960.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Inurnment will follow at Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the The National Cancer Coalition; The National Cancer Coalition, 333 Fayetteville Street, Suite 1500, Raleigh, North Carolina 27601 or to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation; 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
