Theresa Kelly Bodell, 69, widow of Phillip T. Bodell of 127 Oakhurst Circle died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Anderson Memorial Hospital. A native of Central she was the daughter of Sara Payne Kelly and the late Theron Parrott Kelly. She was a homemaker and had worked for Saco Lowell in Clemson for many years. Theresa graduated from Central High School and attended Clemson University where she was one of the first female cheerleaders. She loved life and especially enjoyed shopping, cooking and gardening. Theresa was a wonderful caregiver, always doing for others and was an inspiration to her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clemson.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Kelly Payne Bodell and his wife Audrey Rodgers Bodell and grandchildren, Sara Katherine Bodell and Stewart James Bodell of Clemson; sister, Sara Kelly Palmer of Mt. Pleasant; nieces Katherine Palmer DeMasi, Sara Palmer Baker and Maresa McAlister Agnew. She was predeceased by a sister, Marcia Kelly McAlister and a nephew, Marcus Anthony McAlister.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 27 at 11am at the Old Stone Church Cemetery in Clemson with Rev. Lane Glaze officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Matthew Alexander McAlister, Malcolm Anthony McAlister, Theron Parrott (Parry) McAlister, Richard Anthony (Dickie) DeMasi, Richard Alan (Richie) Senn, Jr. and Charles Alan Agnew. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Robert Evan Palmer, Robert Stokes Kirkley, Francis Edward Kirkley, Jr. and Walter Lee Hawkins. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8pm at the residence, 127 Oakhurst Circle in Central. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E. Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621. The family is at the home of Sara Payne Kelly, 127 Oakhurst Circle, Central.
