Theresa “T” Martin Huffman, 68, of Greenville South Carolina, loving wife of Coy L. Huffman, III., passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina on January 25, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Berry Martin, Jr., and Virginia Ballentine Martin. She graduated from Greenville High School before pursuing a double major in Business and Accounting from Columbia College. Her passions lay in philanthropy and education, which she expertly balanced with her work as an accountant, she worked at The Wedding Place for many years. T’s true pride and joy though lay with her family - being a loving wife to her husband, a nurturing mother to their three children, and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren. Known for her playful spirit and love for adventure, T often took her family on vacations to explore new horizons while finding time for simple pleasures like walks on the beach searching for sharks' teeth. A faithful member of Christ Church Episcopal in Greenville throughout her life, T devoted much of her free time volunteering for Camp Opportunity for Abused Children. Her commitment earned widespread admiration from fellow volunteers and beneficiaries alike. T's dedication to making meaningful contributions to society will leave behind an invaluable legacy that will continue to impact countless lives positively.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by two daughters, Virginia Lynn Moss (Alex) of Greer, South Carolina, and Chelsey Huffman Galbraith (Kyle) of Greenville, South Carolina; a stepson Coy L. Huffman, IV. (Lauren) of Charleston, South Carolina; and five grandchildren, Carter Jonathan Galbraith, Bonnie Lynn Galbraith, Hailey Theresa Sawyer, Coy “Quinn” L. Huffman, V., and Taylor Caroline Huffman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Christ Church Episcopal, 10 N. Church Street, Greenville, SC 29601. The family will receive friends following the service from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the residence, 23 Highcroft Court, Greenville, SC 29607. Burial will be private.
