Thomas "Tommy" Lee Bridges

Thomas “Tommy” Lee Bridges, 68, of Powdersville, husband of Lora Harrison Bridges, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born on October 16th, 1954, a son of Carl R. Bridges and the late Melba McMath Bridges. Tommy grew up in the Powdersville area and was greatly loved by his family and friends. He was a graduate of Wren High School in 1972 and went on to live a fulfilling life while touching the hearts of many along the way.

Tommy had a heart for God and served him well by leading a life dedicated to serving others. He was a faithful member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and poured his heart into supporting various ministries in his church. One such ministry was the bus ministry, and he also went on many mission trips where he served others wholeheartedly wherever there was a need. Tommy had many interests that kept him active throughout his life. However, nothing came close to his love for family - especially for his grandchildren. Nothing brought him greater joy than being surrounded by those he loved most, watching them grow, smile, play together, and creating unforgettable memories with them. Apart from spending time with family, Tommy had an adventurous spirit which led him to enjoy multiple outdoor activities over the years like waterskiing, softball, fishing, hunting, and in particular, golfing with friends. More often than not, his favorite pastime involved being outdoors surrounded by nature's beauty, soaking it all up just like he embraced every moment with love-filled eyes.

In addition to his loving wife of 46 years and father, he is survived by three children, Kati Linn (John), Leah Belcher (Clint), and Jordan Bridges (Brooke); and eight grandchildren, Halli, Ella, Owen, Lydia, Harper, Jacob, Colton, and Joseph.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother, Mark Bridges; and two angel grandbabies, Eden and Gabriel.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at Robinson Memorial Gardens.
