Thomas Waymond "Red" Evans, 83, formerly of Dewsbury Lane, husband of the late Betty Love Ridgeway Evans, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at R.M. Campbell Veterans Center.
Born in Madison, GA, a son of the late Dupree and Alice Garrett Evans, Mr. Evans was owner of Evans Foreign Car Salvage and a member of Welcome Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the US Navy.
Surviving are two daughters, Tutti Hall and husband, Reggie, of Easley, and Jenny Evans of Powdersville; a brother; O�??Neal Evans and wife, Nancy, of Piedmont; three grandchildren, Evan Hall and wife, Ashley, of Powdersville, Emily Hall of Easley and Turner Pike and wife, Emily, of Greenville; and three great-grandchildren, Casey Hall, Lorelei Hall and Levi Pike. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Evans was predeceased by a sister, Sybil Cely.
Cryptside services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday in the mausoleum of Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:00 PM Sunday in the mausoleum, prior to the service.
