Thomas C. Lynch, Jr., 75, of Clemson and the husband of his beloved Elizabeth "Lib" Roach Lynch, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Seneca, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Rogers Lynch and T. C. Lynch, Sr. He attended Clemson University, the Pharmacy School of the Medical University of SC. He graduated from Auburn University. Mr. Lynch was the former owner of Lynch Drug Company in Clemson from 1963 to 1997. He was a former Chairman of the State Pharmacy Board, served as a Clemson University Trustee, member of Tiger Brotherhood, served on the Clemson City Council and the Clemson Downtown Revitalization Board, he was a past member of Clemson Rotary Club as well as many other civic organizations. He also served on many bank boards and was on the organizing board for Capital Bank in Clemson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clemson were he served in many capacities.
Tom loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also enjoyed his home, garden, yard, golf, his many friends,and anything Clemson. His passion was helping people.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Tommy Lynch; two daughters, Terri Lynch and Deana L. McEntire and husband, John all of Clemson; two sisters, Betty L. Ramey and Cat L. Pack both of Seneca; grandchildren, Lauranne Lynch, Olivia Lynch, T.C. Lynch IV, Lyles McEntire, Thomas McEntire, Bricee McEntire and Rylan McEntire.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Lewis Lynch.
A private burial service will be held at Oconee Memorial Park with his grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to invite all of their friends to a Celebration of Life Ceremony to be held at 3 PM, Sunday at First Baptist Church of Clemson with Dr. Rusty Brock officiating.
Immediately following, the family will receive friends in the foyer of the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
