Thomas Lawrence "Sonny" McAlister, 73, of 124 Sanders Road died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at An Med Health Center.
Born in Central, he was a son of the late Robert Doyle and Earline Landress McAlister. Sonny was a retired owner and operator of Sonny's Drive In and was a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Thomas Lawrence "Bug" McAlister (Grace Ann) and Robert A. "Monk" McAlister (Kathy J.); daughter, Susan M. Martin (Dale); and sisters, Midge Revis and Norma Galloway all of Central; grandchildren, Sallie Moss (Joe), Heidi Bradley, Thomas Lawrence III, Sarah Nicole Waddell (Daniel), Robert Adam McAlister, Cassie Mae McAlister and Amber Rose McAlister; twin great-grandchildren, Gracie Elizabeth Pearl and Sophie Caroline Evett Bradley; and his former wife of 36 years, Mae Owen McAlister of Central.
A celebration of Sonny's life will begin with a gathering of friends and family at 1 PM, Wednesday at Freedom Fellowship in Central.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Wednesday at Freedom Fellowship with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating.
The family is at the home of the daughter Susan Martin, 203 Mountain View Drive, Central, SC 29630.
