Thomas "Booner" Owens, Jr., 80, of 808 Elljean Road, went to be with the Lord Wednesday October 14, 2009 at Laurel Hill Living Center.
Mr. Owens was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Thomas Frank and Myrtle Boyd Owens. He retired from Easley Granite and Marble Company, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Elljean Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, May Beth Cisson Owens, of the home ; a son, Tommy Ray Boyd and his wife, Kathy, of Easley ; a brother, J.C. Owens and his wife, Grace, of Easley ; sisters, Fredrica Youngblood and Frances Holliday and her husband Charles, all of Easley and Hazel Turner and her husband, Leroy, of Pickens ; 2 grandchildren, Stephen Ray Boyd and Thomas Lee Boyd ; 2 great-grandchildren, Thomas Ray Boyd and Courtney Boyd.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm Friday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Family members are at their respective homes.
