Timothy Carlton Dyar, 51, husband of Margaret "Meg" Roberts Dyar, died Friday at his home in Pendleton.
Born in Anderson County, he was the son of Earl Carlton and Becky Adamson Dyar of Pendleton. Tim was the owner of Dyar's Diner of Pendleton since June of 2013 and formerly owned Pendleton Ice Company for over 25 years. Through both of his business, Tim gave and supported many local organizations, schools and the FCA. He enjoyed Harley-Davidsons, old cars, loved golf and had an amazing talent for singing and was a former member of newborn singers. He loved the Clemson Tigers and the Dallas Cowboys and was a lifetime member of IPTAY. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
Tim never met a stranger and was full of life. He had rededicated his life to the Lord in 2016 and he wanted everyone to know that joy he had rediscovered.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are a daughter, Callie Megan Dyar of Central; son, Breylen Carlton Dyar of the home; sisters, Angie (Jimmy) Cain and Regina (Terry) Moore both of Sandy Springs, SC; nieces, Marcie Cain, and Michelle (Jud)Stephens; nephew, Will (Sara Margaret) Moore; and great nephews, E.C. Moore and Carter Stephens.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Monday at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Anderson with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM, Sunday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made the Good Samaritan Fund of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 5901 Highway 187, Anderson, SC 29625 or to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
