Timothy Janilla

Timothy Lee Janilla passed away peacefully at his home in Easley, South Carolina on February 23, 2025 at the age of 80. He was born April 14, 1944 in Stillwater, Minnesota to Alfred and Myrtle (Nelson) Janilla. He was the husband of Deanna Emerson Janilla, having married on May 1, 1970. He was predeceased by his parents. Tim is survived by his wife, Deanna, his sister, Roxanne Janilla (Larry Duerk), of Lakewood, OH, brother, Barry, of Stillwater, MN and nieces and nephews. 

Tim served in both the Army and Air Force, retiring after 29 years. 

Tim’s civilian career in both Wisconsin and South Carolina was in the precision plastic injection molding industry, which included coordinating with customers and coworkers on design, development, prototyping and final finishing of those products.

Tim was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was a member of several organizations, including the American Legion, Masons and Shriners. He was a co-founder of Ridge Runner Corvettes, a Corvette club in Upstate South Carolina. The club is a strong supporter of the charity, Service Dogs for Veterans.

Tim enjoyed both trap and target shooting. One of his favorite activities was taking care of his Corvettes. Charleston, SC was his favorite city and he visited as often as possible. He took great pleasure introducing many of his friends to his favorite parts of the historic city. He was also an avid lover of all animals, especially cats and dogs.

Tim loved and cared deeply for family and friends. He was loved by everyone he met, being influential in the lives of so many, whether young or old. Tim had a life well lived.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, March 8th at 3:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 4500 Highway 86, Easley, South Carolina, 29642. Pastor Dave Preston will officiate the service, with a reception following.
