Timothy W. Rhodes

Timothy “Tim” W. Rhodes, passed into Glory on June 1, 2024. 

Born in Anderson, South Carolina, he was the son of Bill Rhodes (Martha) and the late Nancie Rhodes. He was a truck driver with a PhD in Militaria. He had the uncanny ability to buy junk and sell antiques. 

To know Tim, was to love him. Tim was the salt of the earth, but he had a special way about him that made people feel that they were a treasured friend. Tim had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh, but also would like to scare them in a joking way.

Tim loved his LORD JESUS and it was reflected in all that he did. He often prayed for those in need. He was an encourager in life, and his influence will continue for eternity. 

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon Rhodes; his two loving daughters Tara Brannon (Chad) and Staci Byrd (Kevin); five grandchildren, Kate Anderson (Andrew), Kensie Brannon, TJ Brannon (Lydia), Auroa Byrd and Colt Byrd; and three great-grandchildren, Izzy, Oliver, and Theodore Anderson; brother Billy Rhodes (Lisa); two brother-in laws, David Bowen (Diane) and Steve Craig; two nieces, Allison Rhodes and Michelle Everett; one great niece, Abby Everett. He was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Eden Anderson; brother-in-law, Eddie Bowen and sister-in-law, Cheryl Craig. 

He loved his Sharon so much, and she loved him. The two of them were fun to be around. He was devoted to his dog, Gracie, and she added so much to his life. He showed affection for his friends and family by talking to them, by listening, by quiet acts of love and giving of himself. He put others above himself. Tim was a prince of a man. 

He has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he has kept the faith. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:15 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at White Horse Heights Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM in the Church Sanctuary. Burial will follow the service in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
