Tina Marie Lisenby

Tina Marie Lisenby, 61, of Central, SC, was promoted to Heaven on Friday, February 24, 2023.  Tina was a devoted and loving family member and loyal friend.  Her positive and kind spirit was an inspiration to many. Tina was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension in 2009 and managed her disease with strength, determination and grace.  Additionally, she formed a pulmonary hypertension support group at AnMed in Anderson, SC, where she was able to help many others who were attempting to live with this rare and debilitating disease.

Tina was born on November 7, 1961 in Atlanta, GA.  She and her family lived in Tucker, GA until she moved to Central, SC with her mother, LaTrelle Lisenby, in 1974.  Tina attended Pendleton High School and after she graduated in 1980, she attended Newberry College.   She eventually moved back to the Tucker area where she worked with Bank of America in the mortgage servicing department. During that time, she was married and they moved to Panama City, Florida where she lived for several years before becoming divorced.  In 2009, she moved to Central, SC and built her house.  Soon thereafter, she began working for Clemson University in the Admissions department, a position from which she retired. Tina was a daughter of the late Robert B. Lisenby and LaTrelle G. Lisenby, and was preceded in death by her dear sister, Donna Chandler.

Survivors include her brother, Marc Lisenby and his wife Mary of Flowery Branch, GA, brother-in-law, Dale Chandler and his wife, Lesa of Central, SC, nephews Jake Chandler, Luca Vullo (Crystal) and Adamo Vullo (Meagan).

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., at Refuge Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Jennifer Rygg. Prior to the service, visitation will take place in the church fellowship hall beginning at 1:00 p.m.
