Toby Jeb Petitt, 16, of 170 Harris Road, died Thursday, October 12, 2006.
Born in Pickens County, the son of Roy Jeb and Sheila Rochester Petitt of the home, Toby was a tenth grade student at Pickens High School where he belonged to the Elite Raiders Group of the ROTC. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Destini Nicole Petitt of the home; his grandmother, Shelby Wilson of Liberty, and his grandfather, Johnny Rochester of Clinton.
Funeral services well be 4:00 p.m. Monday at Landmark Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Lovall and Rev. Tony Stancil officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Members of the Pickens High School ROTC will serve as pallbearers and honorary escort.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road where the family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday and will be place in the church at 3:00 p.m. Monday.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials may be made to the Toby Petitt Fund, c/o People's National Bank, 424 Hampton Avenue, Pickens, SC 29671.
The family is at the residence.
