Tommy Joe Dodgens
November 14, 1942 — July 31, 2012
Tommy Joe Dodgens, 69, husband of Doris Dodgens, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Leland and Rosie Gilstrap Dodgens. Mr. Dodgens was retired from Singer/Ryobi and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 49 years, are two sons, Greg Dodgens (Tracy) and Joey Dodgens; four grandchildren, Taylor, Savannah, Gracie, and McKenzie; and one great-grandchild, Cole. In addition his parents, Mr. Dodgens was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Herd Davidson.
Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Friday, August 3, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:15 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
