Tommy J. Eskew, 77, formerly of Claxton Dr., husband of Freda Y. Eskew, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Pendleton Manor.
Born November 20, 1936 in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Eugene and Mae Teague Eskew. Mr. Eskew served thirteen years in the US Air force, was a skilled carpenter, an avid Clemson Tiger and Atlanta Braves fan. He was a wonderful loving grandfather who followed his grandchildren to all their games and activities.
In addition to his wife of fifty six years, he is survived by his son, Ron Eskew (Linda); daughter, Christina Shockley (Lloyd); sister, Jo Gilreath (Robert); brother, Earl Eskew (Fran); grandchildren, Daniel Eskew (Baillie Long), Kenny Shockley, Chris Shockley (Kayli) and Katie Eskew; great-granddaughter, Abigail Shockley.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Kenneth Lee Eskew.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
