Mrs. Vera Louise Looper Brown, 77, wife of Donald "Don" Joe Brown, went to be with her Lord and savior Saturday, September 11, 2021.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Jim Garrick Looper and the late Eunice McDonald Looper, Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Dacusville High School, a homemaker, and was a proud volunteer for Baptist Easley Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Vera loved gardening, oil painting, cooking and volunteering in the community, but her greatest love was caring for her husband, family, or anyone in need. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-eight years, are two brothers, Jim Ed Looper (Linda) of Easley, and Donald Looper (Susan) of Pickens; a sister, Agnes L. Kay (Terry C.) of Lavonia, GA; two grandchildren, Lauren Epps (Will), and Katie Goodwin, both of Columbia; and a great-grandchild, Emily Epps. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Annette Brown Goodwin; and two sisters, Gladys Foster and Mary McAlister.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Easley.
