Vera Pace Chastain, 91, of 130 Pine Forest Drive, wife of the late Charles Hamilton Chastain, Sr., passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at her home.
Born in Piedmont, Mrs. Chastain was a daughter of the late William Lee and Annie Williams Pace. She was a homemaker and a member of Georges Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Charles H. Chastain, Jr., Billy Joe Chastain and Tommy Chastain, all of Easley; six grandchildren, Charles Chastain, III, Thomas Denton Chastain, Kaye Thomas, Kenneth Lee Chastain, Billy Joe Chastain, Jr., and Angela "PJ" Weaver; five great-grandchildren, Jordan Chastain, Erin Chastain, Noah Thomas, Eli Thomas, and Morgan Weaver. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Chastain was predeceased by two sisters, Addielou Reeves and Carrie Lee Samson; and a grandson, Jonathan Allen Chastain.
Graveside funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the residence.
