Verner Wayne "June Bug" Galloway, 66, husband of Mary Nix Galloway passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, a son of the late Verner and Marie White Galloway, Mr. Galloway was the owner-operator of Galloway Painting and of the Baptist faith. He was a US Army Veteran.
Surviving in addition to his wife, of the home, are two sons, Verner Galloway, Jr. (Tammy), and Chris Galloway; two daughters, Sandy and Traci Galloway (Ricky); five brothers, Jackie, John, Billy, Wesley, and Kenneth Galloway; six beloved grandchildren, Greg (Brooke), Brady, Dylan, Kristina, Brandon, and Breanna Galloway; one step-grandchild, Taylor Hudson; and one great-grandchild, Dixie Galloway. In addition to his parents, Mr. Galloway was predeceased by a brother, Larry Galloway.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home of his son, Verner Wayne Galloway, Jr., 249 Boggs Road, Pickens, SC 29671.
