Easley, SC
Vernie Scott, 90, of Easley, husband of the late Carolyn Anderson Scott, went to be with his Lord Monday, August 22, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Scott was born in Cullman County, Alabama, a son of the late Claude and Dorthy Cone Scott. Mr. Scott served in the U.S.Army during WWII.
Surviving are two daughters, Esther Carolyn Bennett (Robert) of Buchanan, Ga. and Rhonda Amerine Galloway(Jesse) of Taylors; three grandchildren, Shannon and Sierra Bennett and Emma Claire Galloway.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by three sisters, Sylvia Ballard, Helen Harden and Evelyn Garner.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Thursday, August, 25, 2011 in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum, Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum prior to the service.
