Vernon E. "Gene" Foster, 72, husband of Bonnie Durham Foster, died at his residence on Thursday, January 4, 2007. He was a native of Pendleton and was the son of the late Carl and Alma McCary Foster. He attended the East Clemson Christian Fellowship and was a member of the Men's Bible Class.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Mike Foster and wife Tammy of Central; daughters: Sheral Weatherly and husband Johnny of Pendleton and Rita Weatherly and husband Robert of Central; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Carl Foster.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2pm at the East Clemson Christian Fellowship with burial to follow in the Fant's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The body is at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm and will be placed in the church on Sat. at 1pm. The family is at the residence of Sheral and Johnny Weatherly, 705 Swaney Lane, Pendleton, SC.
