Victor Marion Heard Kingsmore

Victor Marion Heard Kingsmore (Vicki), 87, of Greenville, SC, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025. Born on October 15, 1937, in Anderson, SC, Vicki lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Nardin Heard and Mildred Harbuck Heard, her brothers Marvin Zack Heard and Nardin McDonald Heard, and the love of her life, Harold Douglas (Doug) Kingsmore, her devoted husband of 68 years.

Vicki leaves behind a family who adored her: her sons Samuel Nardin Kingsmore (Twila) of Simpsonville and Michael Douglas Kingsmore (Susie) of Easley, as well as three grandchildren who brought her endless joy—Ashley Kingsmore Kern (Matt) of Mount Pleasant, Brittney Kingsmore Bolt (Matt) of Greer, and Tyler Douglas Kingsmore (Janey) of Greenville. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Mary Tyler, Davis, Ellory, Corbin, Calhoun, Baylor, Evelyn, Annie, and Hattie, each of whom she cherished deeply.

Vicki was the heart and soul of the Kingsmore family—a loving and involved Mother and Mimi whose presence made every gathering special. She was a passionate sports fan, cheering loudest for her Clemson Tigers, the Atlanta Braves, and just about anything PGA-related. But beyond the games, she had a signature style all her own—always the most glamorous lady in the room & never to be seen without her signature orange lipstick.

Her legacy is one of love, strength, and a life well lived. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to be loved by her.

Vicki wished for her life to be celebrated by immediate family members in an intimate ceremony, planned for later this week. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dabo Swinney’s “All In” foundation. The family asks that you wear something orange, hug your loved ones a little tighter, and cheer for the Tigers in her honor.
