Violet "Ann" O'Shields Porter, 78, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late James Milton O'Shields and Flora Powell O'Shields, Mrs. Porter was a homemaker and a member of Buncombe Road Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Teresa Porter Fox (Mark) of Aiken; two brothers, R.C. O'Shields and Larry O'Shields; a sister, Gladys O. Jones; two grandchildren, Mark O'Neal (Laura) and Aubrey Elizabeth Fox; and two great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Samuel Fox. In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by a son, Michael Harold Porter; two brothers, Robert and Elzie O'Shields; and eight sisters, Dolly O'Shields, Flora Cisson, Inez Dalton, Cora Humphries, Jean Adams, Dora Peters, Gertrude Simmons and Evelyn Smith.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 24, 2019 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
