Virgil Clifton Alexander, 69, of Piedmont, husband of the late Kay Watson Alexander, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Andrew and Blondine Harsey Alexander.

Mr. Alexander was retired from Carry-On Trailer Corporation in Lavonia, GA. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, collecting trains and baseball cards. He also proudly served his country in the US Navy.

Surviving are his children, Michael Phillip Alexander of Spartanburg, Sandra Malone (John) of Piedmont, Katie Wilson (Joey) of Easley, and Bobbi Jo Stewart (Michael) of Liberty; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters, Cathy Shepard of Clyattville, GA, Kim Hart of Macon, GA and Susie Stephens of Valdosta, GA; and a brother, Robert Alexander of Seneca.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown Easley, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted.
