Virgil Henry Kilgoar, 78, of 114 Sanders Drive, husband of Joyce Arthur Kilgoar, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Kilgoar was born in Lawrence County, Tennessee, the son of the late John Luther and Dora Ellen Staggs Kilgoar. He worked for 50 years as a heavy machinery mechanic and retired from R.J. Shirley Company.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 16 years, are three daughters, Debbie Kilgoar, of Blythewood, SC, Pam Kaczmarek (Greg), of Toledo, Ohio and Robin Beckner (Eric) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three step-daughters, Marian Coleman (Mike), of Lexington, SC, Tammy Zimmerman (Steve) of Easley, SC and Joey Teets (Scott), of Lexington, SC; three step-sons, Douglas Brink, Ret Brink and Paul Brink; a brother, Bob Kilgoar (Angie), of Hartwell, Georgia; a sister, Bea Runnels, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Kilgoar, Sr.; a daughter, Dianna Branhan and a granddaughter, Jennifer Kilgoar.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Inurnment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
