Virginia Capps Beeks

Virginia Capps Beeks , 94, beloved wife of 47 years to the late Norman S. Beeks, of Easley, passed away December 22, 2020.
Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late Walter O. Capps and Bessie Corbin Capps.
A 1947 graduate of the Greenville General Hospital School of Nursing, Virginia worked as a registered nurse at various hospitals in three states and also as a nursing school instructor. She enjoyed traveling, reading, shopping, hospital volunteer work, current events and Clemson football. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Easley.
Virginia is survived by two daughters, Marian McAlister (Anthony) of Seneca and Kathy Black (Joe) of Buena Vista, CO; a granddaughter, Jenny Carlton Kemp of St. Matthews, SC; two step-granddaughters, Maggie McAlister Clark of Evans, GA and Andrea McAlister Anderson of Gulfport, MS; and seven great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
