Virginia Babb Marin, 81, of Roper Mountain Rd., wife of the late Lt Cdr Richard Marin, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at her home.
Born October 7, 1932 in Lynchburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mamie Lee Wright Babb. Mrs. Marin was a register nurse in the US Navy and also a retired teacher.
She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Spencer (Alan), Rachel Clinch (Graham) and Rebecca Shook (James); brother, CWO James Babb (Ret); and three grandchildren, Bailey Shook, Berkeley Shook and Mackenzie Clinch.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 27, 2013 in the Markley Chapel of Christ Church Episcopal with The Reverend Bob Chiles officiating.
Entombment will be private.
