Mrs. Virginia Wyrick Moore, 90, wife of the late Robert Houston Moore, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her home.
Born in Robeson County, NC, a daughter of the late Clyde and Bessie Lee Hall Wyrick, Mrs. Moore, was the former owner and operator of an Easley tradition for fifty-six years, The Southerner Restaurant, and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Jan M. Aiken (John) of Easley; a brother, Clyde Wyrick of Hickory, NC; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Youngblood Moore; five grandchildren, Candace Alms (Adam), Rev. Brett Aiken (Erica), Cameron Aiken, T.J. Moore (Adair) and Carson Moore. "Gran" also had the love and joy of three great-grandchildren, Anagrace Alms, Tanner Aiken, and soon to be Baby Alms. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was predeceased by two sons, Donald Todd Moore and Robert Lynn "Bobby" Moore; and five sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Brett Aiken and the Rev. Dr. Jim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM Wednesday at the church, prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
