Virginia Inez Browning Lindley Stephens, 80, of 300 Barton Street, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 at her home.
Born in Easley, Mrs. Stephens was a daughter of the late Claude and Etha Gray Browning. She retired from Palmetto Health Baptist Easley and was of the Church of God faith.
Surviving are five daughters, Sheila Morgan and her husband, Jimmy, Sharon Raines and her husband, Amos, all of Liberty, Janice Riddle and her husband, Rick, of Pickens, Kimberly Coggins and her husband, Dean, of Dacusville and Tracy Robertson, of Easley; two brothers and sisters-in-law, J.C. and Margaret Browning of Virginia and Wallace and Sybil Browning of Easley; eleven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Stephens was predeceased by her husband, Doddridge Thompson Lindley; a daughter, Cathy Lindley; and four brothers, Willie Lee, Clarence, Horace, and Jack Browning.
Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown from 12:00 PM until 1:30 P.M. Monday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, S.C. 29621.
