Virginia S. Wilson

Mrs. Virginia Setser Wilson, wife of the late Rev. James Madison Wilson, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, March 11, 2024.
Born in Franklin, NC, a daughter of the late Gilmer Jacob Setser and the late Nina Ray Setser, Mrs. Wilson received her Bachelor's Degree in nursing from the East Tennessee Baptist School of Nursing and spent the majority of her life serving her Lord and Savior as a pastor's wife. She attended Faith Baptist Church, Easley.
Surviving are her son, James "Jim" Edward Wilson (Chris) of Easley; her daughter, Elaine Wilson Vaughn (Mitch) of Easley; a brother, Richard Setser (Faye) of Valdosta, GA; a sister, Anna House of Naples, FL; her eight grandchildren, Karen V. Wood (Cassidy), Gilyen W. Vaughn (Alex), Nicole N. Vaughn, Jayda D. Vaughn, Lyndsey W. Emmons (Charlie), Caroline W. Tate (Camden), Claire A. Wilson, and James David Wilson; and her five great-grandchildren, Colton Wood, Tucker Wood, Elaine R. Vaughn, Grady Wilson Tate, and Harvey Wilson Vaughn. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by one brother, Edwin Setser; and four sisters, Mary Setser, Agnes Hunton, Grace Harrison, and Helen Gent.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. A private burial will follow in the M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson, SC.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
