Vivian Leigh Tate Cordle, 64, of Piedmont, South Carolina, wife of David Ray Cordle, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
Born in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Martha Tate. Vivian devoted her life to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her children and husband as she also cherished her seven cats, who brought her endless joy.
A devoted member of Pathway Church in Easley, Vivian found strength and community in her faith. Her love for travel began in her teenage years, and she continued to explore the country, creating countless memories along the way. A special place in her heart was reserved for New York City, where she eagerly anticipated her annual trip to watch the Jets play football.
Known for her creative flair, Vivian transformed every holiday into a festive celebration, adoring her home inside and out with decorations that brought joy to all who visited. She was a true fighter, facing life’s challenges with unwavering courage and grace.
Vivian was a beacon of love and kindness. She consistently put others first, offering a compassionate ear and a warm smile to everyone she met. Her children fondly describe her as the best mom and wife, a testament to the deep love and dedication she had for her family.
In addition to her husband of 26 years, she is survived by her son David Ray Cordle, Jr., and daughter Avery Cordle.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM.
