Vivian Barker Purpura, 69, of 704 Bailey Avenue and wife of Ronald F. Purpura, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late J.C. and Helen Bryant Barker. She was a retired owner and operator of the Greenville Street Grocery Store in Pendleton and a member of Faith Fellowship of Pendleton.
Surviving are one daughter, Kim (Olin) Howard of Pendleton; two brothers Kenneth Barker of Port Arthur, TX and Keith Barker of Six Mile; one sister Elizabeth Simmons of Anderson; and a granddaughter, Anya Martinez.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, August 17 in Memory Gardens, Clemson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons.
The family is at the home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
