W. Edward Crawford

July 3, 1944 — October 14, 2018

W. Edward Crawford, 74, husband of Jane Wooten Crawford for 48 years, passed away, Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Richard Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home in Anderson.

Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Dennis Edward and Florence Ethel "Ann" Moody Crawford.

Edward was a retired Architectural Draftsman with Clemson University and a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church. He was an active member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Pickens County Historical Society. He loved history and did extensive research on his family genealogy. He loved John Deere tractors and was a 'junk' entrepreneur. For over 40 years he shared his love of Santa by playing Santa for his church, the Town of Central, shut-ins, parades and almost any event in the community that requested a visit from Santa. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army Reserves.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Jason Crawford (Tracey) of Seneca and Shawn Crawford (Kelly) of Six Mile, SC; sister Wanda Olson (Harold) of Clemson; grandchildren, Blake, Landon and Griffin Crawford.

Funeral services will be 3 PM, Tuesday at Cannon Memorial Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Monday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Richard Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home.
