W. Frank Dodson, Jr., 53, of Appling, GA, passed away May 3, 2018.
Born June 22, 1964 in Easley, SC, he was the only son of W. Frank Dodson, Sr., and Barbara Jean Ellison Dodson.
Frank was a graduate of Pickens High School and attended Southern Wesleyan University. His love for fishing and the outdoors took his career in several directions, from state park ranger to working at the Savannah River District. It was here that completed training led him to a job with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. His 31+ year career spanned many areas of the Sheriff's Office, lastly as an Investigator.
He was a member of Pickens View Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are his mother, Barbara Jean Dodson, of Easley; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his extended family of the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, and special friends Tom & Brenda Duke.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 2:00pm at Pickens View Wesleyan Church, 744 Bethlehem Ridge Rd., Pickens, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown Easley.
A Memorial Service will also be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at West Town Community Church in Evans, GA.
