W. Tom Oxendine

Wade Thomas Oxendine, 56, of 606 Brock Street, and husband of Mary Beth Kirk Oxendine, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at his residence.
A native of Dalzell, SC, a son of Wade Hampton Oxendine and the late Dorothy Marie Benenhaley Oxendine of Dalzell, he was a teacher at Easley High School for 33 years. "Mr. O" was a beloved and treasured member of the Green Wave faculty who touched the lives of many students. He was a graduate of Clemson University where he received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: his father and wife, Joan Christmas Oxendine of Dalzell; children, Josh Oxendine and Marie Oxendine both of Central; a brother, Monty Oxendine and wife, Vicki Lesley Oxendine of Easley; a sister, Linda Winemiller and husband, Ken Winemiller of Easley; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Laskis of Thomasville, NC and Nancy Reed of Birmingham, AL; two nieces, Melanie Mackinnon and Emily Reed of Birmingham, AL; two nephews, Kenny Winemiller of Greenville and Anthony Laskis of Thomasville, NC; and uncle and aunt, Gary and Patsy Farmer of Dalzell; and uncle Jacob W. Oxendine of Dalzell.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, SC with Rev. Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church.
