W. T. "Lefty" Wooten, 92, husband of the late Blossom Wooten, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Pruitt Health Care in Six Mile.


Mr. Wooten was born in Anderson County and was a son of the late Prue and Hattie Mayfield Wooten.  He played textile league baseball, was an electrician, was owner of Wooten's Grocery and loved Clemson sports.  Mr. Wooten was of the Baptist faith.


Surviving are two daughters, Jane (Edward) Crawford and Linda (Keith) Raines; a son, Eddie (Suerea) Wooten; grandchildren, Jason (Tracey)Crawford, Shawn (Kelly)Crawford, Hannah Raines and Wayne Wooten; three great grandchildren; a sister, Sybil Holliday; a brother, Rogers Wooten.


In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and James Wooten, a sister, Willie Mae Brewer and a grandson, Wesley Wooten.


Graveside services will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Memory Gardens, Clemson.


The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of choice.


The family will be at the home of Shawn and Kelly Crawford, 4732 Six Mile Highway, Six Mile, SC.
