Clarence Wallace Barr, 92, of Easley, husband of Dellie Ramey Bridges Barr, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at McCall Hospice House.
Born August 22, 1922 in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Clarence Arthur Barr and the late Melissa Edens Barr. Mr. Barr was the owner and operator of Powdersville Quick Shop until his retirement and was a member of Nine Forks Baptist Church. He enjoyed baseball, golf and auto racing.
In addition to his wife of eight years, he is survived by his daughters, Pamela Barr Elrod and Melissa Barr Amos; sister, Blanche Pelfrey; grandchildren, Jason M. Elrod, Noah A. Lee, Savannah R. Lee, Jonah T. Lee and Elijah S. Lee; great-grandchildren, Victoria A. Elrod and Jaxon M. Elrod.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife of fifty-five years, Mildred Camp Barr; one brother and six sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
