Wallace Newton Cisson, 86, of Cannery Road, husband of the late Millie Sue Roper Cisson, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Ashlan Village in Lyman.

Born in Pickens County, the son of the late Hubert Newton and Gladys Mae Griffin Cisson, Mr. Cisson retired as owner of Wallace Cisson Painting and Floor Sanding Company and attended Cross Roads Baptist Church. He was a Shriner and a member and Past Master of Bates Masonic Lodge # 189 and a veteran of World War II having served with the US Army.

Surviving are a daughter, Shelia C. Welch and husband, David, of Campobello; two grandsons, Dr. Christopher Welch (Erin) and Brian Welch (Nicole). In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Cisson was predeceased by a sister, Mary Jo Chase and by a brother, Billy Lee Cisson.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at Cross Roads Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday at the church, prior to the service.

Family members are at their respective homes.
