Mr. Wallace "Bolt" Hood, 92, husband of the late Martha Geneva Phillips Hood, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, October 8, 2021.
Born in Greenville County, the son of the late James Frank Hood and the late Bertha Jeanette "Nettie" Freeman Hood, Mr. Hood retired as a supervisor for Gaylord Crown Zellerbach after many years of service. He was an avid collector and enjoyed going to the jockey lot, working on his land, and spending time with family. He was a Sunday School teacher for many years and an active member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, where he was also a member of the Tom Sheriff Sunday School Class.
Surviving are his granddaughter, Heather Foster (Jason) of Powdersville; great-grandchildren, Hannah Huffman, Case Burger, and Colby Foster; daughter-in-law, Debbie Ellison (Bill) of Easley; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hood was predeceased by his son, Charles Frank Hood; and a grandson, Chad Frank Hood.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
The family is at the home of Heather and Jason Foster.
